The 3rd Lair's 'Summer Series' is
the first ever cumulative points
skateboard contest series for
the state of Minnesota!
INFORMATION
This summer 3rd Lair will be hosting our 3rd annual contest series, dubbed the ‘Summer Series’ at various skateparks in Minnesota.
Points will be given to each competitor based on their final standing at each contest. Results, Standings and Cumulative Point Totals of every competitor will be kept track of on the official ‘Summer Series’ website via www.3rdlair.com.
The competitors with the most points at the end of the 14 event contest series will be the winner! There will be 3 overall points winners crowned - beginner, intermediate and expert.
Winners of each division at each contest will receive a ‘Golden Ticket’ to the Midwest Melee - held at the 3rd Lair at the end of the summer on the weekend of August 8th – 10th. This ‘Golden Ticket will put them directly into the finals of the Midwest Melee.
COMPETITION FORMAT
* All riders get 2 - one minute runs
* Best run counts
* In the event of a tie - 2nd run scores will be used
* No finals
* Each division (beginner, intermediate, and expert) will get exclusive practice time before their heat starts
* The 'bump up' rule WILL BE in effect (if somebody enters a division they are too good for - the judges can decide to bump them up to a higher division)
* Skaters that are bumped up will have half of their points moved into the higher division
* If a bumped up skater has won a 'Golden Ticket' they can still use it for the Midwest Melee - in the division that they won it in.
3rd Lair Summer Series Point System
* Each event will give riders an opportunity to get up to 50 points
* All entrants will automatically get 10 points
* 1st Place gets 40 additional points (50 points total)
* 2nd Place gets 30 additional points (40 points total)
* 3rd Place gets 20 additional points (30 points total)
* 4th Place gets 10 additional point (20 points total)
* At the end of the contest series we will add up everyone’s points and come up with overall series winners for the beginner, intermediate, and expert divisions.
* Midwest Melee scores WILL NOT be a part of the overall scores.
* REGISTRATION IS DONE ON SITE THE DAY OF THE CONTEST
* REGISTRATION WILL START APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR BEFORE TIMES
* REGISTRATION FOR EACH CONTEST IS $10.00
(FEE SPLIT BETWEEN THE CITY AND 3RD LAIR)IF IT RAINS -
BE SURE TO CHECK WITH THE ONSITE CONTEST DIRECTOR. WE WILL RUN IT THE NEXT DAY IF OUR SCHEDULE IS OPEN. IF NOT, THEN WE WILL RUN IT ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY NIGHT AT 5:00PM
